We opened The Body Lab because every Morgantown med spa we walked into felt like a billboard scam. We thought: a med spa is a clinical practice. It should look like one.
The clinic

NP-C · Owner
Twenty-plus years of clinical experience — ICU, hospice, women's health, emergency department, and clinical management. Trained in advanced cosmetic therapy under a board-certified dermatologist. The hands holding the needle.
MD, FACOG · Medical Director
Board-certified OB/GYN; Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Vanderbilt undergrad, UCC medical degree, OB/GYN residency at Summa/Akron City Hospital. The MD oversight most local med spas don't have.
RN · Master Aesthetician
Registered Nurse and Master Aesthetician with advanced training in collagen induction therapy and laser therapies. Carmen leads microneedling treatments — fine lines, pore size, and acne scarring.
Why we built this practice
The provider should be a credentialed nurse practitioner. The medical director should be a board-certified physician.
The consult should be free. No one should upsell. The math should be plain. The photography should be real.
The room should be calm. That's it.
How we work
The trade for being small is that overhead stays low, attention stays high, and the markup of a chain isn't baked into your bill.
Free consultations, always
We talk first, recommend second, treat only when it's the right call. The consult is free; if a treatment isn't right for you, we'll say so.
No upselling
We don't push products or pad plans. "What else should I add?" usually gets "nothing — let's see how this one goes."
Five services, done well
Botox, filler, chemical peels, microneedling, peptides. We don't try to be everything; we do five things really well.
